Above The Law

It's not just a Steven Seagal movie anymore. I think it applies to most of my local police force as well. For those of you that aren't New Yorkers, our state has a law against cell phone use while driving. The law basically states that you can't be holding a cell phone to your ear while driving. You can use a hands-free headset or something to that effect, but that's about it.

So, can someone please tell me why my local police officers are driving around yacking into their cell phones? Aren't these guys supposed to be setting an example to the general public? Not that I'm surprised. Over the last ten years, most of the old-school cops have retired or moved on, while the fresh recruits from the academy have taken over operations. The result is a bunch of vigilantes who think they are The Law roaming around on the streets.

Alright, perhaps I should quit this post before I get really fired up about it. Urgh... Man, these bozos just tick me off.

Living The Dream

Anyone who's acquainted with me knows about my infatuation with the Ford Mustang. I've loved these cars for years. After seeing the Nicolas Cage version of "Gone In 60 Seconds," which included a 1967 Shelby Mustang, that love of Mustangs has been put into overdrive (car pun intended).

Almost two years ago, I purchased a Honda Civic. A mere two months later, Ford released the Mustang redesign for '05. The one that's styled after the classic look of the 60's. D'oh! Since then, I've been biding my time, saving my money, increasing the equity in my Civic...

... and now I own one. I purchased a torch red 2006 Ford Mustang this past Monday. I am now living the dream, folks. It's all downhill from here. I haven't taken any pictures of my car yet, thanks to the rainy weather we've been having, but here's an exact replica of my car:
